Dry Offset Photopolymer Printing Plates
The Photopolymer Plate typically used by Dry Offset Printers on formed plastic closures / containers has a raised image surface approx. .020 thick adhered to an approx. .010 thick magnetic metal base material via a strong bonded adhesive layer. Molded Bottle Caps, Lids, Plastic Cups, Foam Cups, Tubs, & completely Formed Plastic Pails can all be printed at high speed for long production runs numbering in the millions of impressions depending on care & treatment of this durable photopolymer plate material . Pinnacle Graphics can provide a broad range of photopolymer plate material thickness & hardness suitable for mounting on a variety of magnetic and clamp type print cylinders. We can punch your printing plates with an array of standard Dry Offset punch patterns utilized by the major printing press manufactures ie.) Polytype, Kase, VanDam, Desco, Omso, R&R & others).
The typical type of material provided is a hard durometer nylon resin fixed to a metal backed with an extremely strong adhesive layer. Standard thicknesses of either .73mm (.029-.030″) or .83mm (.032-.033″) depending upon print machine manufacturer specifications. Other thickness & durometers can be provided for Pad Print application KM43 (.020″) metal backed. Intaglio pattern plates KM152 (.060″) as well as mylar backed Photopolymer iwhich can be used with a double sided sticky back mounting material for nonmagnetic print plate cylinders.
